“Finding someone who makes you happy is really beautiful, they are like charming gardeners who blossom your soul”
It’s another week and I’m here to serve you all like I do weekly. So, lately I find myself thinking about quite a number of things. One of these things is how far I’ve come; my journey till this moment. I wouldn’t say it has been completely blissful, that would just be a bogus story.
There are some times in life when we go through some phases that seem really difficult or when we need someone or something that wouldn’t be the bane of our existence. I decided to switch things up a bit; talk about something we can all relate to. If there’s something most of us have in common, it’s the fact that we’ve had or at least had someone we call or have called our friend.
In my opinion, there are different levels to what we call friendship. I probably know a lot of people but I can’t just call anyone my friend. As a child, I wasn’t one to make friends easily. I’d rather stay home all day, all week than talk to new people. This was due to some reasons I couldn’t really place at that point in my life. Even with that fact, I still find myself in situations where I think there are still people out there who make me believe in the goodness of people. There are people who come into our lives and things change for the better, even for the best. Don’t let them go so easily.
Memories are what we have to prove that we existed. For quite a while now, I have had this person in my life that we probably won’t talk for a few months but when we get to talk it’s always like we’ve been talking all year. Even during the challenging years and the blissful ones, he’s been there for it all. Friendship isn’t just about daily communication, the relationship lives in the mind. I probably won’t talk to you all day, every day, but it’s the connection that really tells us what we mean to each other.
For real though, true or real friendship is hard to come by, but I’m an avid believer that no one comes into our lives by accident. Finding people who would be there or stay even in the lowest points in your life is not something that just happens every day. Some come into your life to be a lesson, some I’d say a gift, others for a season. You would definitely come across people of different calibre, it’s now your decision to choose your tribe.
Find people that can handle your darkest truths,
Who won’t change the subject when you share your pain,
Or try to make you feel bad.
Find people who understand we all struggle,
some of us more than others, and there’s no weakness in admitting it. In fact, few things take as much strength.
Find people who want to be real, however, that looks and feels, and who wants you to be real too.
Find people who get that life is hard, and also get that life is beautiful, and who aren’t afraid to honor both realities.
Find people who help you feel more at home in your heart, mind, and body and who take joy in your joy.
They are out there, these people.
Your tribe is waiting for you.
This beautiful piece was written by Scott Stabile. I just couldn’t stop myself from sharing it. When you find your tribe, your people, your person, take out time to appreciate them. To all the beautiful souls out there, you’re really appreciated.
I’d say I’ve met lessons, blessings and seasonal people and it has been a hell of a journey so far. I’ve made mistakes because I’m definitely not perfect but I’ve learnt from them. From all these, I’d say friendship is a really beautiful thing when it’s with the right person. Find your Tribe. Please leave a comment, it would totally thrill me.
