Sabrina Carpenter unpacks the restless and sometimes downright woozy feelings of anxiety in her colorful new "In My Bed" music video.
The clip takes place in a pink-toned bedroom, where the 20-year-old songstress gets stir crazy as her eyes transform into googly ones and the viewer is transported into a hypnotic world.
"Something chemical inside me messin' with my mind/And I can't help but feel like/I'm feeling like someone else," she croons in a straitjacket, getting evaluated by various doctors.
“It’s very hard to define it; it comes in waves,” Carpenter told Marie Claire of her own struggles with anxiety. “I have to constantly remind myself that I’m doing what I love and there’s so much to be grateful for. I was able to channel that into some of these songs.”
"In My Bed" will be featured on her forthcoming album, Singular: Act II, out July 19. Watch the music video below.
