Madonna Reacts to Mary Oliver’s Death: ‘Her Words Were a Bridge From Nature to the Spiritual World’

Madonna is honoring one of her favorite poets following the news of her death.

"I Raise A Glass and Shed a tear to the passing of one of my favorite poets………..Mary Oliver," the legend wrote on Twitter on Thursday (Jan. 17). "Her words were a bridge from Nature to the Spiritual World……………. God Bless You Mary!"

Oliver, the Pulitzer Prize-winning poet who was best known for her odes to nature and animal life, died of lymphoma earlier in the day. She was 83.
