Garth Brooks Honored With Artist Of the Decade Award, Performs Medley Of Hits at iHeartRadio Music Awards

Garth Brooks received the artist of the decade award at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards on Thursday (March 14) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. He also performed a medley of some of his biggest hits.

After being introduced by Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt, the Country Music Hall of Famer fired up the band and launched into “Callin' Baton Rouge.” He seamlessly transitioned into “Ask Me How I Know,” then “The Thunder Rolls” and "Friends in Low Places," the latter of which saw Pratt take a turn at the mic.

Brooks also took a moment to say a few words about receiving the artist of the decade award, attributing the honor to three things: “the people, the music and God himself!”
