Back in 2018, Logic and Joseph Gordon-Levitt invited everyone from all over the world to contribute to their upcoming song through HITRECORD’s collaborative online platform. The final song, "Do What You Love," compiled with recordings from HITRECORD contributors finally has a music video–featuring the 21 people of different backgrounds and skill sets that contributed to the song.
The clip shows the rapper and the actor driving to a gas station in the "mystery machine." At the pump, the 21 contributors pile out from the trunk and they delve into a performance of the song, with each person showing off how they took part in the tune. "It's about doing what you love, no matter what it is, whether it's music or writing or art," Logic explained of the track in the original announcement video.
The video premiered Friday (Mar. 15) at SXSW through HITRECORD and YouTube Originals. The tune is an integral part of Band Together with Logic, executive produced by Gordon-Levitt, a one-hour YouTube Originals Special that sees the Grammy-nominated rapper artist open up his creative process like never before.
