Anderson .Paak Wants to ‘Make It Better’ In New Smokey Robinson Assisted Track: Listen

Anderson .Paak performs onstage during 'Mac Miller: A Celebration Of Life' Concert Benefiting The Launch Of The Mac Miller Circles Fund at The Greek Theatre on Oct. 31, 2018 in Los Angeles.

Anderson .Paak is back with a new single off his upcoming album. "Make It Better" is smooth and heart wrenching, enlisting the help of Smokey Robinson for a kick of soul.

The Andy Hines-directed music video that accompanies the track shows the highs and lows of falling in love, as the deal breaking question of the track croons in the background: "Do you wanna make it better?/Do you wanna stay together?"

“He’s still got it,” he told Zane Lowe of working with the legendary Motown artist. “He came through. He said, ‘You gotta make it nice, baby. You gotta say something sweet to her, baby. If you want her to fall in love, you gotta make love to her with your words, man.’"

The tune is the artist's follow-up to last month's "King James," and both songs will be featured on .Paak's upcoming record, Ventura, out April 12. Watch the nostalgic "Make It Better" video below.
